耳をすませば (1995)
i prefer studio ghibli’s newer productions as compared to animations such as 耳をすませば. i think it’s the mythical creatures that do it for me. i’m starting to think that the girl in each of ghibli’s story is one and the same (not in the generic sense, but familiar yet anonymous. it’s the same girl, just like the viewer is the same person), and every film is a chapter of a neverending story…
